The 3 Common Causes of Protein Deficiency in Dogs

There three main reasons why dog's have a protein deficiency in their diet. These reasons are due to an imbalance, having bulky low-energy diets, or they just have an insufficient level throughout all the foods consumed.
So here are some details about these so that you can avoid this from happening to your dog:
1) Imbalance of Dietary Protein - These types of low-grade protein can be found in your cheap can of dog food. Think of like SPAM (the food). It's just a bunch of low quality foods and chemicals. Examples of these could be gelatin or collagen products.
2) Bulky-Low-Energy Diets - These types of food products can be contained in any dog food, whether dry or canned. Again, it's a bunch of products which have little fat and contain those rejected animal products. So when consumed, a large portion is converted to energy.
3) Insufficient Protein Intake - This may be the easiest to detect. This typically happens when dog owners try to cut down on buying food. When this happens, scraps are given to the dog with disregard of nutritional values. Whether it's bread, biscuits, or potatoes, these foods don't provide sufficient protein for dogs.
